First Day Impressions

We had a really good day on Friday. We got to know each other better and started to learn how to be leaders in A6 and across A-Team. We watched a youtube clip about "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback. It shows examples of great leaders and how they have taken action and changed the world.

Leaders like: Nelson Mandela, Bob Geldoff, Peter Benenson who started Amnesty International after being shocked by the lack of freedom in parts of the world and many others. You can watch it here:

We finished the day outside playing "Capture the Flag" with A5. It was cool to run around engaged in a strategy and team focused activity after just about every one of our Year 5-6 students said they were passionate about sport. We need to make sure we direct learning through our students passions, so we will learn and transfer learning playing sport. Today it was strategy and tactics:

Thanks to Quincey and his team - Nicholas and Cooper (I think) for getting us set up and for looking after my phone at the start. Beware taking selfies :) you never know where they might end up!
